The Class 12 board examinations in Madhya Pradesh begin today. Around 7 lakh students will sit their final exams this year. A total of 3,856 examination centres have been set up across the state. All exams will be conducted from 9 am to 12 noon. Students must start writing at 9 am sharp. To prevent cheating, the authorities have arranged flying squads, CCTV surveillance and compulsory videography while collecting question papers from police stations. Over 16 lakh students appearing for board exams This year, more than 16 lakh students will appear for the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations across Madhya Pradesh. The administration and education department had started preparations months in advance to ensure the exams are conducted smoothly and without malpractice. Strict monitoring at 3,856 centres Across the state, 3,856 examination centres have been established. In Bhopal alone: A total of 104 examination centres have been set up in the city. Each district has formed four flying squads — two at block level and two at district level. Each squad consists of three members, including police or administrative officers, to take immediate action in case of any irregularities. CCTV surveillance at sensitive centres Special security arrangements have been made at sensitive examination centres. CCTV cameras have been installed at identified locations, and live monitoring will be carried out from the Board office in Bhopal. Videography has also been made compulsory while question papers are taken out from police stations. Security guards have been deployed to ensure transparency and safety throughout the examination process. Schools given strict instructions The Board of Secondary Education has instructed schools to immediately share exam-related information through notice boards, morning assemblies and parents’ WhatsApp groups. Teachers have been asked to personally ensure that no student misses the exam due to confusion over dates. Five examination centres in every district have been selected for special monitoring, with direct surveillance from the Bhopal Board office. Flying squads will also conduct surprise inspections. No entry after 8:30 am The District Education Officer (DEO) in Bhopal, N.K. Ahirwar, stated that students will not be allowed to enter the examination centre after 8:30am under any circumstances. Unnecessary gathering around centres will be restricted, and entry beyond a fixed boundary will not be permitted. All centres are under regular CCTV monitoring. Officials have confirmed that all preparations for the examinations have been completed.
