The victim, Brijkishor Yadav, son of Khalk Singh Yadav, a resident of Badhera village, told the police that around 6 pm on Sunday he was sitting at the Badhera square when Bali Singh Lodhi arrived and started hurling abuses. Accused claims he was also assaulted
BJP leader Bali Singh Lodhi said that he too was assaulted. He claimed the video was recorded at a time when he was beating the other person, but that he had also been attacked earlier. He said one of his fingers was injured and he developed a problem in one of his eardrums. “My condition is bad. I am being referred from Chanderi to the district hospital and from there to Bhopal. I have also lodged a complaint at the police station,” he said. Bali Singh earlier in spotlight due to former MLA’s remark
Bali Singh Lodhi is the same person who had come into the limelight some time ago during a conversation involving former Chanderi Congress MLA Gopal Singh Chauhan, also known as Daggi Raja. During the conversation, Gopal Singh Chauhan was heard telling people in front of Bali Singh that he had once said that if Bali Singh was touched, six Yadavs would be killed with a single bullet. After the controversy escalated, the former Congress MLA released a video apologising to the Yadav community with folded hands. He said the words were not his and were spoken mistakenly during the conversation.
