Rajasthan police, along with Rajgarh police, conducted a raid on a drug factory, seizing chemicals worth ₹4 crore. Late Tuesday night, Rajasthan police, in coordination with Rajgarh police of Madhya Pradesh, raided a drug factory operating in Goghatpur village. The operation took place under Machalpur police station jurisdiction. During the raid, the police seized chemicals and equipment valued at around ₹4 crore. Factory owner imported chemicals from Rajasthan The owner of the drug factory, identified as Raghu Patidar, was operating the factory illegally from his home. He used to procure chemicals from Rajasthan for drug production. The factory owner is currently absconding. Rajasthan police tracked suspects to Madhya Pradesh Late Tuesday night, a special team of Rajasthan police was conducting vehicle checks in Jhalawar district. During the checks, a pickup was stopped. About 320 kg of chemicals used in drug manufacturing were recovered from the vehicle. Three suspects in the pickup were transporting the chemicals toward Agar in Madhya Pradesh. Police asked the suspects for documents related to the chemicals, but they failed to provide them. Based on interrogation and inputs received, Rajasthan police reached Goghatpur village under Machalpur police jurisdiction late Tuesday night. Acting together with Machalpur police, they raided three to four locations simultaneously. Illegal drug factory operated from Raghu Patidar’s house In Goghatpur village, it was confirmed that an illegal drug factory was operating from a house owned by Raghu Patidar. On getting wind of the raid, Raghu Patidar abandoned his car and fled the scene. During the raid, police seized various chemicals, equipment, and other items used in drug production. The seized goods are estimated to be worth around ₹4 crore in the international market. A luxury car was also seized from the premises. Four accused arrested by Rajasthan police Rajasthan police have arrested four accused in connection with the case. Initial investigations indicate that this gang has been involved for a long time in supplying and processing chemicals for drug production. Local police are completing the necessary legal procedures.
