Lawyers assaulted a man accused of rape and blackmailing a Class 11 student inside the Bhopal District Court premises on Monday. The accused, identified as Osaf Ali Khan, had been brought to court by Kohefiza police for a hearing. As soon as the accused arrived at the court, a group of lawyers present there surrounded him and began beating him. The situation quickly turned tense, leading to a scuffle between the lawyers and police personnel. Videos of the incident have surfaced on social media, with one video reportedly dated February 2. According to eyewitnesses, the lawyers’ anger erupted upon seeing the accused, and some of them attempted to snatch him from police custody before assaulting him. The matter came to light when a class 11 student studying at a prestigious school in Shahpura filed a complaint with her family at Koh-e-Fiza police station.
