The body of a 13-year-old boy, who had gone missing while on his way to coaching on Friday evening, was found inside a bed storage box in a flat at Shridevi Apartment under the MIG police station area in Indore on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Ali Qadri, son of Aftab Qadri. The boy had left home for his coaching class on Friday evening but did not return. Following his disappearance, the family informed the police at the MIG police station and began searching for him. Body found in same building family had suspected The family had expressed suspicion on Friday night that the boy might be inside Shridevi Apartment at Shree Nagar Extension. On Saturday, Ali’s body was recovered from a bed storage box in Flat No. 42 of the same apartment complex. A blood-stained jacket and bag belonging to the boy were also found at the spot. Police said preliminary information suggests the body showed signs of severe injury, and there are reports that the body may have been mutilated. However, officials said the exact cause of death will be confirmed after postmortem. CCTV footage surfaces During the investigation, CCTV footage has surfaced showing Ali cycling in the area shortly before he went missing. The footage is being closely examined as part of the probe. Police detain youth, murder suspected Police have detained a 21-year-old youth on suspicion in connection with the case. Sources said investigators are also probing whether the crime was committed under intoxication. A heavy police force has been deployed at the spot, and residents of the apartment complex gathered as news of the recovery spread. Investigation underway Teams from the police, forensic science laboratory (FSL), and dog squad were deployed at the crime scene to collect evidence. Senior police officials visited the spot and said a detailed investigation is underway from all angles. Police said further details will emerge after forensic analysis and postmortem reports.
