7-year-old raped by uncle:Thrown into canal after screaming, dies, police arrests culprit within 48 hours

Barwani police have arrested the step-uncle in connection with the rape and murder of a 7-year-old girl. Acting on information from an informant and supported by technical and scientific evidence, the accused was taken into custody. During interrogation, he broke down and confessed to the crime. During psychological interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime. He revealed that around 8 PM on Sunday night, while family members were asleep and the girl’s father was away irrigating the fields, he abducted his stepbrother’s daughter. When the girl began crying and screaming, he threw her into the canal with the intent to kill.
