5-year-old raped in Morena:Victim went to buy gutkha for father; minor accused lured her inside shop saying, ‘Come in, the dog behind you will bite’

In Morena, a 5-year-old girl is raped by a 17-year-old minor at a village shop on Saturday, around 4 pm, while she went to buy gutkha for her father. She informed her parents after returning home. Police have registered a case under the Rape and POCSO Act and taken him into custody. According to Mahua police, the 5-year-old girl was sent by her father to a nearby shop for gutkha. The 17-year-old minor accused told her a dog behind her would bite her, then lured her inside the shop and committed the act. Afterward, he gave her the gutkha and sent her home. The victim’s parents have filed an FIR at the police station. According to the FIR, the child stated, I told the uncle sitting at the shop to give me gutkha, and the uncle said, ‘Come inside, there’s a dog standing behind, it will bite you.’ I went inside the shop. There, the uncle committed an inappropriate act. When I felt pain, I screamed, but the uncle covered my mouth with his hands. Then he gave me gutkha and sent me away. Mahua Police Station in-charge Dharmendra Gaur stated that a 17-year-old minor, who works at a shop in the neighbourhood, raped the child. Since the accused is also a minor, he has been taken into custody. After conducting his medical examination, the police will present him before the court (Juvenile Justice Board). Police have registered a case against the accused under sections of the BNS and the POCSO Act.
