On Saturday, the two-day Central India Horse Show began for the first time in Indore. Over 200 Marwari and Nukra breed horses from 7 states of the country have participated in this event. This is a unique horse show happening for the first time not only in Indore but in the entire Madhya Pradesh. Competitions are being held in several categories based on the horses’ grandeur, gait, build, and training. On the first day, competitions were held in Milk Teeth, Two Teeth, and Mare categories. It was a matter of pride for Indore that Mhow’s beautiful Murtazil horse performed brilliantly and emerged victorious in the Two Teeth category. Horses from 7 states, including Punjab Rajasthan, arrived Murtazil topped among 35 horses in two teeth category On Saturday, 35 horses competed in the Two Teeth category, with Murtazil excelling in agility, beauty, strength, height, and physique, securing first place. In the Mare Competition, Kudrat from Punjab won first position, and his owner, Mohd. Shahrukh, received Rs 21,000, a trophy, and a certificate. Murtaril was also honored with a red saddle pad and a red badge on his head. See in three pictures… Objective: Awareness for horse conservation Organiser Pawan Singh Chawda informed that more than 225 Marwari (of different colors) and Nukra (Stallion) breed horses from 7 states of the country have participated in this two-day show. Competitions in different categories were held on the first day, focusing on the horses’ grandeur, gait, build, and training. They will also continue throughout the day on Sunday. Participants with excellent performance are being honored with first, second, and third prizes. The objective of the event is to promote Indian equestrian culture and spread awareness about the conservation of traditional horse breeds. It is hoped that this horse show will be held every year and give Indore a new identity on the map of equestrian sports.
