More than 21,000 litres of country-made liquor were destroyed using a JCB bulldozer in Ujjain. The stock, valued at Rs 94.72 lakh, had been stored in a warehouse for a long time. Excise Commissioner approved destruction of old stock Nodal officer Mukesh Randhawa said the Excise Commissioner of Madhya Pradesh had granted permission to destroy old and unusable liquor stock that had been stored for a long time in country liquor warehouses located in Tarana, Ujjain, Khachroud, Mahidpur, and Badnagar. 21,310.74 bulk litres destroyed at trenching ground On Tuesday afternoon, a committee destroyed 21,310.74 bulk litres of old and unusable country liquor kept in 2,367.86 boxes at the trenching ground on MR-5 Maksi Road by running a JCB over it. Destruction done under committee supervision The destruction operation was conducted under the supervision of a committee headed by Sub-Divisional Officer (Revenue) Rajesh Borasi. Assistant Excise Commissioner Nidhi Jain was appointed as the committee secretary. Other committee members included Assistant District Excise Officer Mukesh Randhawa, Mamta Bhavel, Vijay Medha, Jitendra Singh Bhadouria, Sanjay Kumar Jain, and Himanshu Agrawal, along with excise inspectors and authorised representatives of M/s Associated Alcohols and Breweries, Khodigram, Badwah, Khargone district. The operation was carried out under strict monitoring to ensure proper disposal of the unusable liquor stock.
