Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has appointed former wicketkeeper-batter Dishant Yagnik as the new fielding coach. The franchise announced on Wednesday that Yagnik will strengthen the team with his experience and skills in the Indian Premier League 2026. KKR issued a statement saying – “In IPL 2026, the team will enter with a new and changed support staff. Coach Abhishek Nayar will lead this unit. According to the franchise, Yagnik joining KKR is a new and exciting chapter in his coaching career. The staff includes mentor Dwayne Bravo, assistant coach Shane Watson, bowling coach Tim Southee, and power coach Andre Russell. IPL 2026 will be held between 26 March and 31 May. He has represented Rajasthan in domestic cricket. He has played 25 matches in the IPL between 2011 and 2014. After retirement, Yagnik stayed associated with the IPL and served as a fielding coach in several seasons. Abhishek was made head coach last season KKR had appointed Abhishek Nayar as their head coach last season. He was made head coach in place of Chandrakant Pandit. Dwayne Bravo is also part of KKR’s coaching staff along with him.
