A bus conductor allegedly threw a female passenger onto the road and assaulted her after she protested against being overcharged in Gwalior. The woman was also verbally abused, while her young child stood nearby, crying and repeatedly pleading with the conductor to spare his mother. The incident took place on Monday afternoon, around 3 pm in Sunari village under the Bhitarwar police station area. A bystander recorded the entire episode on video, which surfaced on Tuesday. See, pictures… Disturbing visuals captured on video The video shows a bus bearing registration number MP07 P 2072 standing on the road, with the conductor misbehaving with the woman passenger. He is seen grabbing her hand, throwing her to the ground, and hurling continuous abuses at her. A child, believed to be around nine years old, can be seen crying inconsolably and begging the conductor to leave his mother. Several other passengers are seen watching the incident, but none step in to help the woman. Overcrowded bus, passengers seen on roof The bus involved in the incident appears to be overloaded. In the video, some passengers can also be seen sitting on the roof of the bus, raising serious questions about passenger safety and transport regulations. Police await formal complaint The video of the assault has reached the police. Bhitarwar police station in-charge Sudhir Singh Kushwah said that no formal complaint has been filed so far in connection with the incident. “Based on the video, we are trying to identify the bus and the conductor involved. Appropriate action will be taken once a complaint is received,” he said. The incident has sparked outrage, highlighting concerns over passenger safety and accountability in public transport services.
