Word ‘Hindu’ is Persian, not Vedic, explains Digvijaya Singh:He says Sanatan Dharma is eternal and Hindutva ideology is against true Indian religious heritage

Former Chief Minister and Congress Rajya Sabha MP Digvijaya Singh has launched a sharp attack on the BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. He said that the BJP stands not with Hinduism, but with Hindutva.
Sharing a video on Facebook, Digvijaya Singh said – BJP is not with Hinduism, but with Hindutva. Hindutva is not a religion, it is an identity, what they have said is that they are fooling people. Hindu conferences are being held everywhere. They are taking donations from us and feeding us ‘bhandara’ (community feast). What kind of religion is this? BJP-RSS scare Hindus and Owaisi scares Muslims Digvijaya Singh said – BJP and RSS have nothing to do with religion. They only scare people, saying ‘Hindus unite, Hinduism is in danger,’ and Owaisi says ‘Muslims unite, there is danger from Hindus.’ Both play a game together. Neither Hindus are in danger nor Muslims are in danger. Savarkar and Jinnah divided the country, now neighborhoods are being divided
The former CM further said – The country is in danger due to internal strife. Understand this, save the country. Savarkar ji and Muhammad Ali Jinnah ji divided the country once Now it’s not the country that’s being divided, but neighborhoods here. Cities are being divided. Many places have become such that Muslims have made their own neighborhood and Hindus have made their own neighborhood. Why is this division happening? We are all one, everyone has one master. We are Indians, Bharat Varsh is the name of our country given in our constitution. The word ‘Hindu’ is not Vedic, it is Persian Digvijaya Singh said- Where did the word ‘Hindu’ come from? Digvijaya Singh said- What does Sanatan mean? That which has no end is Sanatan. For thousands of years, there have been debates and discussions about this in Sanatan Dharma, and its essence in Sanatan Dharma is Advaita Vedanta.
In this, Adi Shankaracharya established our four monasteries two thousand years ago. This means that man himself is Narayana; I don’t need to go anywhere. Narayana is in the heart here. Who will explain the definition of Sanatan to them? Manikarnika Ghat, a symbol of our faith, was demolished
Digvijay said – these are companions of Hindutva, not companions of Sanatan Dharma. If they were, then for thousands of years, there has been a question of faith that if our cremation takes place at Manikarnika Ghat, we will attain salvation. It is a matter of our faith that if our ashes are immersed in the Ganges at Manikarnika Ghat, we will attain salvation. That Manikarnika Ghat was demolished. For us, it is even more saddening that Mother Ahilya, who worked in every way for Sanatan Dharma. She reconstructed the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Her idol was broken and her palace was demolished. Is this our Sanatan Dharma? I ask Narendra Modi and Mohan Bhagwat that the work you are doing is against Sanatan Dharma. The word Hindutva was given by Savarkar ji, who said it is not a religion, it is an identity.
