A case of public assault has emerged involving a travel agency operator, his brother, and his brother’s female friend in Kalpana Nagar, Bhopal. It is alleged that people living in the nearby settlement beat the three with sticks and belts after a parking dispute. The female friend’s hair was even pulled out. This incident occurred on the night of January 16, and its video surfaced on Monday. The woman has also released a video. She described the young men as her brothers. The woman alleges that when they were being attacked, no one intervened to help. Meanwhile, in the FIR filed at Piplani police station, the complainant youth described the young woman as his friend. Police say efforts are being made to identify and arrest the accused based on the video. See three visuals from the incident site Dispute started over removing auto According to police, travel agency operator 25-year-old Vijay Kumar Mishra lives in Madhavi Apartment in Kalpana Nagar. On January 16, he reached outside his rented house after returning from Indrapuri with his brother Vineet Mishra and friend Purnima Dubey. There is a madrasa in front of their house where they usually park their car. On the night of the incident, an auto was already parked in the parking spot, where three young men were sitting. It is alleged that the youths who got down from the auto said that first give one thousand rupees for partying, only then will the auto move. When this was opposed, all three started beating. Hearing the commotion, several other people from the nearby settlement also reached the spot and joined in the assault. The victims allege that the attackers severely beat Vijay and Vineet with sticks and belts. When Purnima tried to intervene, she was also assaulted. The accused pulled her hair so hard that it got uprooted. Piplani police station in-charge TI Chandrika Yadav said that a case has been registered under sections of obstruction, riots, and assault in the matter. Police are conducting raids to arrest the accused based on the viral video and other evidence by identifying them.
