On January 12, Madhya Pradesh will hold a large mass Surya Namaskar event on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti, also known as National Youth Day. From 9:30 am to 10:15 am, students and teachers in all educational institutions across the state will perform Surya Namaskar and Pranayama together at the same time, following one common signal. Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav will take part in the programme with students at Subhash Utkrisht Vidyalaya in Bhopal. School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh will join students at Rukmani Devi Public School in Narsinghpur. The event will be broadcast on Akashvani, and millions of students from different parts of the state are expected to participate. Surya Namaskar simultaneously in all schools On the occasion of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti, as every year, this year too, a mass Surya Namaskar event has been organized in all educational institutions of the state. According to the directives of the School Education Department, this event will take place at the same time and on a single signal, involving all educational institutions, including schools, colleges, government, and non-government institutions. Local public representatives, officials, managers of educational institutions, and distinguished citizens will also participate in the program. The department has linked this event with youth power and a positive lifestyle, highlighting its importance from the perspective of discipline, concentration, and physical health. Broadcast from Akashvani, Surya Namaskar will be performed on radio signal The state government has prepared to connect this program with radio broadcasting and make it accessible to the general public. From 9:30 AM, after the national song ‘Vande Mataram’, a recorded message from Swami Vivekananda and a message from Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will be broadcast from all centers of Akashvani. After that, mass Surya Namaskar and Pranayama will be conducted on a radio signal. The program will be broadcast simultaneously from every All India Radio station in the state, to maintain uniformity in time and discipline. Students from Class 6 to 12 will participate, younger children will be spectators The Education Department has clarified that students from Class 6 to 12 will be able to voluntarily participate in this event. Primary school children will not participate in Surya Namaskar, but they can be present as spectators. The department has decided this arrangement keeping in mind the age and capacity of the students. Departmental officials have instructed educational institutions to ensure necessary preparation and coordination for the smooth conduct of the program.
