Rajasthan minister’s son Dhananjai Singh removed from RCA:HC cancels Jodhpur District Cricket Association recognition, removes association president and ad-hoc committee member

The political turmoil in the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) has intensified after the Rajasthan High Court canceled the recognition of the Jodhpur District Cricket Association (DCA).
Following this, Dhananjai Singh Khimsar, son of Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar, has been removed from his posts in both the RCA ad-hoc committee and the Jodhpur District Cricket Association. High Court suspends RCA ad-hoc committee orders The court also stayed the decisions of four members of the RCA ad-hoc committee, who had recently dissolved the former selection committee and formed a new one. With the High Court’s ruling, the newly formed selection committee has been dissolved and the previous selection committee reinstated. In a major interim order, Justice Sunil Beniwal of the Rajasthan High Court restrained the ad-hoc committee from executing its orders dated November 2, 2025, pending further hearings. The order was issued following a petition filed by Naresh Gehlot of Bikaner, a former member of the junior selection committee who was removed. Background of the petition The petition stated that RCA had disaffiliated the Jodhpur District Cricket Association (DCA) on October 11, 2025. Despite this, the controversial November 2 order included Dhananjay Singh as a member of the ad-hoc committee, which was against the rules. Gehlot’s lawyer argued in court that since DCA had already been disaffiliated, its president could not be considered a member of the RCA ad-hoc committee, and therefore had no authority to participate in meetings or pass orders. Notices issued to all members The High Court issued notices to all involved members and also issued a stay on the ad-hoc committee’s order. As a result, the four-member selection committee formed by the ad-hoc committee is currently suspended, and the Jodhpur District Cricket Association’s recognition has been revoked. This decision has once again sparked political controversy within the Rajasthan Cricket Association, raising questions about governance and control over cricket administration in the state.
