26-year-old engineer dies of cardiac arrest:Family says, ‘No suspicion as police stated he slept after party and never woke up’

A 26-year-old software engineer from Bhopal died of cardiac arrest in Mussoorie. This was revealed in the post-mortem report. The body was handed over to the family on Sunday. Harsh Bijore was the only son of the family after his elder sister. He had been working in a private company in Gurugram, near Delhi, for about three years. For the New Year, he had gone to Mussoorie with his friend and two female friends. After a birthday party there, he slept in his room and did not wake up in the morning. His father, Jitendra Bijore, works in the ticket reservation department at Rani Kamlapati Station. Speaking to Dainik Bhaskar, he said that Harsh had resigned from his job in December. He had already resolved to start a new job in the new year. He worked until December 30. On January 1, he went to Mussoorie with his female colleagues and a young man from the company. His father said- We used to talk every day, he didn’t hide anything from me. He had said that after Dad returns, I will search for a new job. On January 3, 2026, at around 10:54 AM, information was received via MDT-112 that a young man staying in room number-102 of the homestay “Zen Den”, near the petrol pump, Mussoorie Lake, Mussoorie, was unwell. His body was stiff. Upon receiving the information, the Barloganj police outpost in-charge, along with staff, immediately reached the spot. The medical team of the 108 ambulance was already present. In the initial interrogation by Mussoorie police, it came to light that Harsh Bijore had come to Mussoorie on January 1, 2026, with Vishal Kumar, Swati, and Bhavna Verma. It was friend Bhavna Verma’s birthday, which everyone celebrated together. After the birthday party, Harsh went to sleep in his room number-102 around 11 PM. The next day, on the morning of January 3rd, his friend Vishal went to his room with breakfast to wake him up, and found that Harsh’s body was cold and there was no movement. Vishal had informed Dial 112 about this.
