A property dealer raped a 19-year-old woman at the Kerwa Jungle Camp Resort in Bhopal. He had called the woman to meet him on the pretext of providing financial help on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday. He threatened to kill her, committed the assault, and then fled. The woman lodged a complaint at Ratibad police station. After registering a rape case, the police have started an investigation. The victim alleged that the property dealer introduced himself as Sameer, while his real name is Zahoor. Victim works in event management According to the police, the victim works in event management. She had met Zahoor through a friend. As her mother was unwell, the woman needed money. She had asked Zahoor for financial help of Rs 5,000. Called her to Nehru Nagar, then took her to Kerwa On the night of December 31, Zahoor called the woman to Nehru Nagar on the pretext of giving her the money. From there, he took her to the Kerwa Jungle Camp under the excuse of going for an outing, where he raped her. The victim informed Dial 112. The 112 team reached the spot and called a woman sub-inspector from Ratibad police station. The officer took the victim to the police station, recorded her statement, conducted a medical examination, and registered an FIR. Station House Officer Rasbihari Sharma said that two police teams have been deployed to trace the accused and he will be arrested soon.
