Madhya Pradesh bid an enthusiastic farewell to 2025 and welcomed 2026 with grand celebrations across major cities and tourist destinations, including Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Ujjain, Pachmarhi, and Mandu. Festivities continued late into the night, with ‘Happy New Year’ resonating across the state at midnight. A similar celebratory spirit marked Thursday, the first day of the new year. In Pachmarhi, the morning began with yoga sessions offered to the rising sun. In Ujjain, millions of devotees gathered at the Mahakal Temple for darshan.
