In a remarkable act of quick thinking and training, a Nagda police officer saved the life of a young man who attempted suicide by hanging. Late Monday night around 1:30 AM, a man attempted to hang himself near a water tank on Janmejay Marg in Nagda. His father, witnessing the incident, immediately ran to Nagda Station In-Charge (TI) Amritlal Gawri, who was patrolling the area, and informed him about the emergency. TI breaks door and performs CPR Without any delay, TI Gawri rushed to the scene, broke open the room door, and brought the youth down from the noose. Family members initially thought the boy was dead and were distraught. Utilising his police training in CPR, TI Gawri immediately began resuscitation. Within seconds, the young man began showing signs of life. Police and medical team take over The youth was promptly taken to MP-13 Hospital by the police. Doctors conducted a thorough examination and confirmed that the timely CPR had saved his life. Local authorities also credited Rajesh Morwal of the Nagda City Security Committee for assisting the police during the emergency. Quick response praised by doctors Hospital authorities stated that the young man’s survival was a result of rapid intervention and effective CPR, emphasizing the importance of first aid skills in life-threatening situations. After his condition stabilized, the youth was discharged from the hospital, reunited with his family, and is now reportedly in good health.
