A 30-year-old woman from Khandwa got trapped in a relationship formed on social media. The accused befriended the woman by claiming to be a judge of the Rajasthan High Court. Then, by promising marriage, he sexually exploited her for about a year. When the woman discovered the truth that he was not a judge but a law student from Udaipur, she filed a police complaint. Based on the victim’s complaint, Khandwa police arrested the accused Jaykishan (29) from Rajasthan. The accused was presented in court, from where he was sent to two days of police remand. Claimed to be Rajasthan High Court Judge According to the victim, she became friends with Jaykishan, a resident of Udaipur, through social media. The accused portrayed himself as a Rajasthan High Court judge in his profile and conversations. After continuous communication, they grew closer, and the relationship turned into love. Used to meet in Khandwa, affair lasted for a year During the relationship, the accused frequently visited Khandwa. He promised marriage and, on this pretext, repeatedly raped the woman. This continued for about a year. When the woman discovered his true identity that he was still studying law, she filed an FIR at the Kotwali police station. Police said, Accused is a serial fraudster Initial police investigation has revealed that the accused is a serial fraudster. Through social media, he has already trapped more than 15 girls in Rajasthan. Sometimes he would claim to be a senior officer and promise jobs, while other times he would sexually exploit them by promising marriage. Due to fear of defamation, none of the victims had complained until now. During remand, Khandwa police will conduct a thorough interrogation of the accused and share his complete profile with Rajasthan police. Case under serious sections, provision for punishment up to 10 years Police have registered a case against the accused under several serious sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Police have also clarified the basis for these sections.
