A 32-year-old woman, Meenakshi Patel, serving as a patwari in Goharganj tehsil, Raisen, died after slipping from her roof in Kamla Nagar while trying to retrieve her child’s balloon. She fell along with shed sheets into a neighbour’s house and succumbed to her injuries at a private hospital. Her husband is in the army, and her father-in-law is a police inspector. The accident occurred on the evening of December 11 as she played with her child on the roof. Fell while breaking through shed sheets Family members said that while playing, the child’s balloon landed on a neighbour’s shed. Meenakshi Patel crossed the balcony boundary to retrieve it and climbed onto the shed. She slipped and fell into the neighbour’s house, breaking through the shed sheets. Body handed over to family after post-mortem The body was handed over to the family on Monday afternoon from GMC mortuary. Doctors said severe head injuries caused blood to clot inside her brain, leading to her death. Police are awaiting the post-mortem report.
