Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav said that development and public welfare activities must be carried out in a manner that ensures Naxalism does not re-emerge in areas once affected by the menace on Thursday. CM Yadav, while addressing a state-level conference on “Dissemination of Outcomes” at the Police Headquarters (PHQ). The Chief Minister arrived at PHQ to attend the DG–IG Conference, where he was accorded a guard of honour and inspected the ceremonial salute. CM flags off mobile forensic vans During the event, Dr. Yadav flagged off mobile forensic vans prepared to strengthen crime investigation through modern technology. He said the initiative would significantly enhance scientific investigation, evidence collection, and crime scene analysis across the state. The introduction of these vans is expected to boost faster crime detection, higher conviction rates, and public confidence in law enforcement. Tribute to martyrs, praise for police force The Chief Minister paid tribute to police personnel who laid down their lives in the fight against Naxalism and congratulated the force on the successful elimination of Naxal influence in the state. He noted that the police force was recently appreciated during a special session of the Assembly for its achievements. 57 mobile forensic vans for MP police The Madhya Pradesh Police is now equipped with 57 mobile forensic vans at a which cost around Rs 36.94 crore, funded by the Central Government. The purchase order was issued to the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Gandhinagar. Of these, 14 vans have already been delivered on December 16, 2025, with the remaining units to be supplied in phases. DGP briefs on DG–IG conference in Raipur Director General of Police Kailash Makwana informed the gathering about key directions issued during the All-India DG–IG Conference held in Raipur in November 2025, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He highlighted discussions on: CM to interact with senior police officers During the conference, the Chief Minister will hold detailed discussions with senior police officers on: Presentations will be made on police-led research and innovations, with special focus on crime control, social policing, and good governance at the field level. Focus on post-naxal development strategy Dr. Yadav will also outline the government’s priorities on law and order and review changes in the lifestyle of people in Balaghat, Dindori, and Mandla districts following the eradication of Naxalism. Future action plans for sustained peace and development in these regions will be discussed. The Chief Minister reiterated instructions for regular field visits by officers and stressed that complaints from citizens at police stations should be handled with sensitivity and empathy.
