A case of a newborn’s death has come to light in Dhar district after a lightning strike. The family says that the child got scared by the loud sound of lightning and died on the spot. However, doctors have not confirmed this. They say that the cause of death will only be known after the post-mortem report comes out. The incident took place on Tuesday in Simrali Bhawadiya Awar village of Faraspura Panchayat near Dhamnod. Child was born on June 26 According to information, Sandeep Singh and Reena’s son was born on June 26 at Gujri Government Hospital. On Tuesday evening around 4 pm, Sandeep was sleeping with him in his lap. Suddenly the weather changed and lightning struck. Sandeep says that the sound of the lightning strike was so loud that even he got scared. The child got scared and started crying. While crying, he stopped breathing. Naming ceremony had not taken place yet Sandeep and Reena reached the Dhamnod Community Health Centre on a bike with the infant. Here, Dr. Shweta Sanwale confirmed the child’s death. After the post-mortem, the body was handed over to the family. The child’s uncle, Sanjay Singh, said that the child had not been named yet. The police have registered a case and started investigating the matter. The death of the newborn has cast a pall of gloom over the entire village. Irregularity found in heart rate Dr. Shweta Sanwale said that irregularity was found in the child’s heart rate due to the loud noise. Because of this, the child is suspected to have suffered a cardiac arrest.
