A major road accident occurred at 1 AM on Monday on the Jharkata Pahar road in the Chitrangi tehsil area of Singrauli district. A pickup truck, bringing labourers from Uttar Pradesh to drop them home, went out of control and overturned on a mountain bend. In this accident, four labourers died on the spot, while three others were seriously injured. With the help of local people, the injured were sent to Chitrangi Community Health Center, where their treatment is ongoing. Police have sent the bodies of the deceased for post-mortem.
