A major fire broke out early Tuesday morning in Sakhtapur, a remote village in Khandwa district, gutting three houses. A middle-aged man, sleeping inside one of the homes, tragically died after being burnt alive. On receiving the alert, administration and police teams rushed to the scene, and the blaze was brought under control with the help of six fire tenders. Seeing the fire and smoke, people from two houses woke up and came out to save their lives, but 50-year-old Suraj, son of Babu Rathore, was alone in the third house.
