Madhya Pradesh has ranked third in the country in action taken against black marketing, hoarding, and diversion (i.e., supply to wrong places) of fertilizers. According to data presented by the central government in the Lok Sabha, a total of 91 FIRs were registered in Madhya Pradesh between April 1 and November 28, 2025, while the licenses of 204 fertilizer sellers and institutions were suspended or cancelled. Maharashtra has issued 1139 notices in cases of poor quality fertilizer. Odisha issued 107 notices at the second position, and MP issued 44 notices at the third position.
