In Singrauli, a young man walking on the road was hit by a speeding car on Friday evening. The accident occurred at Nigahi turn in the Nawanagar police station area around 6 PM, causing a ruckus among local residents and traffic to remain blocked for about one and a half hours. The jam continued until 8 PM, with people demanding financial assistance for the family and a government or contract job for the wife. City Superintendent of Police S. Paraste said the accident is under investigation. Authorities are verifying whether police checking was being conducted at the time.
