Bloody clash erupts after Alwar collision:Govt hospital turns battleground for an hour as armed youths chase victims with screwdrivers

A late-night brawl erupted at the Alwar District Hospital on Friday around 11 pm, turning the premises into a battleground for nearly an hour. A group of 8–10 youths assaulted a man inside the hospital, some wielding screwdrivers and others carrying sticks. Police later learned that the man who was beaten had earlier smashed the head of car driver Bharat Saini during an altercation. Police have arrested six people from both sides and registered a case. Collision triggers chain of violence The confrontation began around 8 pm near Jail Chauraha after a car collided with a scooter. The scooter was being driven by Monu Jogi, with his mother riding pillion. She sustained serious head injuries in the impact. The car, driven by Bharat Saini and accompanied by another man, stopped briefly. Monu allegedly attacked Bharat during the argument and struck his head. Bharat and his companion then fled in their car to escape the situation. Police later arrested six people—four from Bharat Saini’s side and two from Monu Jogi’s—for breach of peace. Bharat works for a company in Gurugram. Attack inside hospital According to Monu Jogi, he was taking his injured mother to the hospital for treatment when the car occupants left without helping. While his mother was receiving medical care, Bharat Saini and several young men allegedly stormed into the hospital and began hitting him. Monu claimed the group had been drinking alcohol near Jail Chauraha and crashed into his scooter while intoxicated. Instead of helping his mother, they fled, and later 15–20 men arrived at the hospital to assault him. Both sides blame each other Offering his version, Bharat Saini said the accident occurred due to the scooter rider’s negligence and speeding. He claimed they did try to help the injured woman, but Monu and his companions attacked them a short distance away, injuring him severely. Bharat added that when they reached the district hospital, Monu again assaulted them—this time allegedly stabbing one person with a screwdriver and injuring another by hitting his head. Police investigations into the incident and counter-claims from both groups are underway.
