BJP leaders absent from airport as Jagdeep Dhankar visits Bhopal:Arrives to attend Raj Bhawan event; Digvijaya Singh says, ‘Use throw, this is BJP’s style’

Former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar reached Bhopal on Friday to attend a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) event. He landed at Bhopal airport on a flight from Delhi and left directly for Raj Bhavan by car. His arrival drew political remarks when no BJP leader came to receive him at the airport. Digvijaya Singh targets BJP over absence at airport Former Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh reacted to the absence of BJP leaders, saying the BJP values only those who are useful to the party. “Use and throw… this is BJP,” he said. Digvijay added that he would not make the same remark about the RSS since Dhankhar had come for its programme. He also said Dhankhar was attending the launch of a book written by Manmohan Vaidya, the same Vaidya who once stated that the RSS had no objection if people consumed beef. Digvijay spoke briefly to the officer accompanying Dhankhar and requested time to meet the former Vice President. Book launch event at RSS platform Jagdeep Dhankhar will deliver the keynote address at the launch of ‘Hum aur Yeh Vishwa,’ a book authored by RSS All India Executive Committee member Manmohan Vaidya. Vrindavan’s Sri Anandam Dham Ashram Peethadheeshwar Riteswhar Ji Maharaj and senior journalist Vishnu Tripathi will attend the programme as special guests. Dhankhar is expected to return to Delhi around 8 PM. First public address since resignation This event is likely Dhankhar’s first major public appearance where he will speak after resigning as Vice President on July 21, the first day of the monsoon session of Parliament. After stepping down, he largely stayed away from public programmes. He was last seen at the swearing-in ceremony of Vice President CP Radhakrishnan on September 12 but did not speak at any event or interact with the media since leaving office.
