A key video has surfaced in the Jai Tomar murder case in Morena, seven days after the attack. The footage shows the accused beating 28-year-old Jai Tomar with sticks on a public road while shouting threats. No passer-by tried to help. Jai was left for dead and later died in hospital. Police have registered a case against nine people and arrested five of them. Video of brutal assault emerges A video of one minute and 58 seconds has now come out. In it, the accused are seen hitting Jai Tomar with sticks.Jai is lying on the road and cannot defend himself. No one who passed by tried to stop the attack. People nearby were told to move away. See 4 pictures of the assault… Accused heard giving violent instructions The main accused, Saurabh Tomar, is seen beating Jai repeatedly. He is heard shouting, “Break his legs, break his hands.” Saurabh also calls out to his accomplice, Aryan alias Akash Tomar, telling him to come quickly. He adds, “Break his fingers… break his thumbs. He thinks he is a big leader.”He also shouts, “Will you compromise or not? This is just the trailer.” After the beating, the attackers assumed Jai was dead and ran away. Incident and death The assault took place on the evening of 10 November. The accused include the son, brother, and nephews of former Sarpanch Ramkaran Singh Tomar. They stopped Jai on the main road from Khadiyahar to Mohanpura Gopi. They dragged him off his vehicle and beat him with sticks and rods. Jai begged them to let him go, but they continued hitting him. He was taken to the Gwalior Trauma Centre in critical condition. Jai died during treatment on the night of 12 November. His wedding was planned for 22 November. Reason behind the dispute The video suggests that the attackers were forcing Jai to agree to a compromise in an old case. Jai had refused, which angered the group. This issue triggered the attack.
