A husband and wife from Barpani in Sagar district died by suicide in Rewari, Haryana. They hanged themselves from the same noose in their rented room on Saturday. Their bodies were cremated in Rewari on a single pyre, as mentioned in their suicide note. The couple wrote that their bodies should be handed over to their parents and both should be cremated together. According to the family, they had a love marriage five years ago and were troubled because they did not have a child. This worry led them to take the extreme step. Both worked in a company The deceased have been identified as Rajkumar (26) and his wife Hali (22) from Barpani village in Sagar district, Madhya Pradesh. Rajkumar’s brother Mahendra said that Rajkumar and Hali had a love marriage in 2020. After their marriage, they came to Dharuhera, Rewari, in search of employment. Rajkumar worked in a company in Binola, Gurugram. Both had returned from the party at night Mahendra further stated that both had gone to someone’s marriage anniversary party at 11 PM. They returned at 1 AM. On Saturday morning around 8 AM, Rajkumar had breakfast with him. After this, he went to his room. Mahendra said that around 10 AM, when his elder brother went to call Rajkumar, the room door was locked from the inside. Even after calling out for a long time and knocking on the door, there was no response. Upon suspicion, they peeked through the window and found Rajkumar and Hali hanging from the same noose. Posted a story on Instagram Rajkumar’s brother Mahendra also stated that when he checked Rajkumar’s Instagram ID, he found that Rajkumar had posted a story on Instagram after returning from the party. It states, ‘they are taking this step of their own free will’. It also stated that both of them should be laid together in the same shroud and cremated on a single pyre. However, the couple had not written anything about whether they were troubled by not having children or any other reason for the suicide. However, this was revealed after the family came forward. The family consists of parents and one brother According to information received from Sagar, Rajkumar Ahirwar (father Ganesh) was a resident of Barpani. He had a love marriage with Hali, who lived in Umra village. He did not return to the village after the marriage. He used to work as a laborer while staying in Rewari. His brother Bhupendra Ahirwar also works as a laborer outside. The parents have gone out of the village to work as laborers after celebrating the Diwali festival.
