New Zealand defeated West Indies by 9 runs in the third T20I match played in Nelson on Sunday. With this, the Kiwi team took a 2-1 lead in the 5-match series. While batting first, the New Zealand team scored 178 runs in 20 overs, in response to which the Caribbean team was all out for 168 runs in 19.5 overs. West Indies needed 12 runs to win in the last over, but the team could not achieve this target.
