Two engineering students from Khandwa died in a horrific accident late Friday night in Indore. Around 2 AM late at night, a speeding Scorpio car hit three students on a scooter in front of Life Care Hospital. In the accident, Krishnapalsingh Tanwar and Ayush Rathore died on the spot, while the third student is seriously injured. Police have seized the Scorpio, whose driver and four other youths fled the scene. Both deceased (aged 20 years) who lost their lives in the accident were residents of Khandwa district and were B.Tech second-year students at Prestige College in Indore. The seriously injured third student, Shreyansh Rathore, is also a resident of Mundi and is the brother of the deceased Ayush Rathore. Scorpio came at 100 kmph, youths trapped
Eyewitnesses said that the Scorpio (which was new and had a garland hanging on its bonnet) was coming from Nakshatra Square at approximately 100 kmph. During this, the three youths on the scooter emerged from the divider cut in front of the petrol pump, who the car hit forcefully. The scooter (MP 09 QZ 0714) was stuck in the divider, while the youths were dragged and thrown forward. 4 youths including the driver fled from the spot
Immediately after the accident, four youths, including the driver of the Scorpio, got out of the car and fled, taking advantage of the darkness. Upon receiving information about the incident, the Lasudia police station personnel reached the spot. Doctors declared two youths dead. Bodies lay on the road for half an hour
After the accident, the bodies of both youths (Krishnapalsingh Tanwar and Ayush Rathore) lay on the road right in front of the hospital for about half an hour. Later, TI KK Sharma, along with ADCP Alok Sharma and ACP Himani Mishra, reached the spot, and only then did the hospital management take the bodies inside. Police have registered a case and started searching for the absconding accused.
