On Friday night, on the Neemuch-Jawad road, a car belonging to Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Manoj Yadav collided with several motorcyclists. In this accident, Dashrath, son of Shambhu Singh, 42 (resident of Jawad), a teacher at Gyanodaya ITI College, died on the spot. Meanwhile, his wife Lalita Bai (35), their 10-year-old son Harshit, and their 6-year-old daughter Jaya were seriously injured. Bhopal, son of Narayan Singh (44), a resident of Athana, was also injured in this accident. The teacher was returning with his family after buying vegetables. The incident occurred near the valley of Bharbhadia village in Neemuch at around 8 PM. According to eyewitnesses, ASI Manoj Yadav was in an intoxicated state near his damaged car and was unable to stand properly. There was a smell of alcohol coming from his car. From which, a bottle of liquor and an empty glass were recovered. The motorcyclists injured in the accident were immediately taken to the hospital. Policeman Manish Yadav’s car, bearing number HR 99 ABS (Temp) 1491, was reportedly coming from Jawad. The car collided with motorcycles that were going from Neemuch towards Jawad. With the help of passersby and an ambulance, all the injured were immediately taken to the district hospital. Doctors declared Dashrath, son of Shambhu Lal, dead. All other injured have been referred from the district hospital. The deceased Dashrath was a teacher at a private ITI college in Neemuch and was going home with his family after buying vegetables. Among the injured are two small children, whose condition is said to be serious. After the incident, local people protested at the spot. Considering the seriousness of the situation, senior police officers reached the scene and pacified the crowd. Police are investigating the matter.
