qazi-nadvi-urges-calm-over-special-intensive-revision-survey-report:clarifies-it’s-merely-for-identification,-advises-citizens-to-avoid-rumours-and-participate-responsibly-for-smooth-implementation

City Qazi Mushtaq Ali Nadwi of the capital has appealed to the Muslim community not to fall for any kind of rumors or confusion regarding the SIR (Special Intensive Revision) survey being conducted by the government. He said that this is a legal and necessary process, which will strengthen the record of citizens’ identity and documents. Qazi Nadwi said that we want to tell Muslims and citizens of the city that when government employees or officials come to your home under SIR, cooperate fully. Provide the requested documents honestly. If you are not at home, inform the responsible people in your household in advance to provide the documents when officials arrive. This is not a task to be afraid of, but to fulfill responsibility.
Qazi Nadvi said that fear or rumors are spreading in society regarding SIR, which should not happen. He said that every citizen of a country gets an identity card made. This is not a new or frightening task. Rather, it is a way to prove one’s citizenship and strengthen one’s identity. If we are negligent today, we might face identity-related problems tomorrow. He further said that we need not be afraid, but rather participate in this work responsibly. If you don’t do this work today, you yourself will face problems in the future. Therefore, complete the SIR process seriously. Run awareness campaigns in neighborhoods
Qazi Nadvi also appealed to Muslim community organizations and youth to run awareness campaigns in neighborhoods. He said that by going into neighborhoods, tell people what SIR is, why it is necessary, and how they should cooperate in it. If any legal or administrative problem arises anywhere, it should be resolved peacefully and wisely. What is SIR Survey
Under SIR, Block Level Officers (BLO) will go door-to-door and provide voters with an enumeration form. In this, information like name, address, age, and EPIC number (Voter ID card number) will have to be filled. If a family member has died, a person has shifted out, or their name is in the voter list of another state, the concerned Assembly In-charge (SDM) will investigate and ask for documents. Survey like this after the year 2023
For the first time since 2003, a door-to-door survey of the voter list is being conducted. Those whose names are not in the 2003 list but are in the current list will have to state whose name in the family was in the 2003 list. The BLO will verify this based on the information provided in the form. The name will be added only if the information is correct. Understand SIR Survey like this
The BLO will give voters an enumeration sheet. In which you will have to fill in all your information. This will include information such as name, address, age, and EPIC number. If someone in the family has died, shifted out, or their name is registered in another state. The concerned assembly in-charge, i.e., the SDM, will issue a notice and ask for documents.
