After the officials and employees of the state judicial service, the Government of Madhya Pradesh has now issued orders to grant a 3 percent increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) to officers belonging to the All India Services — IAS, IPS, and IFS. The General Administration Department (GAD) has released an official notification stating that the revised DA will be applicable from July 1, 2025, and the amount will be paid in cash from the same date. This decision comes in line with the Central Government’s order issued on October 6, which approved the revised DA rates for Central employees effective from July 1, 2025. DA raised from 55% to 58% for IAS, IPS, IFS officers Under the new order, the DA rate for All India Service officers — who were previously receiving 55 percent DA as per the Seventh Pay Commission pay matrix — will now be increased to 58 percent. Officials say that despite the borrowing, the state’s fiscal management remains stable, and the government is committed to fulfilling its obligations towards employees and welfare beneficiaries. A senior representative of the State Employees’ Joint Council said, We are hopeful that the Chief Minister will extend the same benefit to every government worker on the state’s Foundation Day. The financial burden is manageable, and employees have been patiently waiting for parity with Central government staff. Background: Central DA revision in October The Union Government had issued its DA hike notification on October 6, approving a 3% increase in DA effective July 1, 2025.
