TT Nagar police cracks warehouse theft case within 24 hrs:Accused held for making off with goods worth ₹40k; stolen booty includes gas cylinders, stoves

Bhopal’s TT Nagar Police on Wednesday cracked a theft case within 24 hours of the incident, and laid hands on the accused involved in the crime, the police said. The cops recovered stolen items worth ₹40,000 from a warehouse located at Baghelkhand Bhavan in Bhopal, a statement issued by the TT Nagar police read. 6 gas cylinders, stoves had been stolen: Cops TT Nagar police station house officer (SHO) Gourav Singh Dohare said that the incident took place in the early hours of October 28, 2025, when unidentified miscreants broke the lock of the warehouse and stole six gas cylinders (five commercial and one domestic), a tin of oil, and two gas stoves. Complainant DR Singh (67), a resident of Somya Enclave in Chunabhatti, informed the police after receiving a call from the security guard around 7:30 am, stating that the warehouse lock was found broken. Acting promptly, the TT Nagar police registered a case under Sections 331(4) and 305(A) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023, and began a probe. The team activated its informer network and questioned habitual offenders known for similar thefts. The breakthrough came when informers tipped off police that a suspect matching the description was attempting to sell gas stoves near Tulsi Nagar, Bhopal. Acting swiftly, the police reached the location, where the suspect tried to flee but was surrounded and apprehended. Culprit identified as Manswi Gawhade, has 3 prior criminal cases against him The accused was identified as Manswi Gawhade (21), a resident of Anjali Complex in Tulsi Nagar. Upon interrogation, he confessed to breaking into the warehouse around 3:00 am on October 28 and stealing the goods. Police later recovered the stolen property from his house.
