Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav attended the Diwali Milan ceremony organised by the State Employees Union on Tuesday. This event was held at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Park in the capital Bhopal. Addressing the programme, the Chief Minister said that different examinations are held for employment in the state and it takes time, which delays getting employment. We have decided that we will conduct only one exam like UPSC and will work to make all recruitments through it. Employees’ happiness is our strength CM Yadav further said – The task of filling more than 20 thousand vacant posts for police recruitment has to be done in three years. An Employee Commission will be constituted under the chairmanship of a retired senior officer to remove pay disparities of various cadres and changes in grade pay. The work of removing salary disparities of employee officers will be done through this. He said that the role of employees is most important. The happiness on employees’ faces is our strength. Only employees do the work of implementing government schemes on the ground and the government is ready for employee interests. The State Employees Union has well expressed the sentiment for employees. Service delays must be stopped, public rights must be considered. House rent allowance was pending for nine years which our government has provided. Mentioned Dearness Allowance Reportedly, the Chief Minister said that officers and employees should get promotions. Efforts were made and we have reached the edge. It is Lord Mahakal’s play and it is slightly stuck but a way will be found soon. Speaking about the dearness allowance, CM Yadav said they are working to provide allowance equal to the center. Arrears will be given in five equal installments till October. The government is rapidly making housing arrangements for officers. Work has been done to provide life insurance benefits to Anganwadi workers and helpers. The government is also working to fill 19,504 new posts of Anganwadi workers and helpers. He said that a committee has been formed to provide UPS for employees appointed on or after January 1, 2005. Demand letter submitted by employees Earlier, a letter of demands from employees was submitted to the CM by Jitendra Singh, president of the State Employees Union. This included issues of increasing the dearness allowance of employees and making the retirement age of employees uniform. In the programme organised at Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Park in the capital, there was also a demand to determine seniority from the date of appointment of teachers.
