Bhopal’s criminal landscape is witnessing a sharp increase in female offenders, with women increasingly participating in organized criminal activities such as theft, fraud, blackmail, human trafficking, and murder. According to police records, over 100 women are actively involved in serious crimes, which has led to a rising number of female names in the city’s history-sheets and wanted lists. Many of these women are habitual offenders who continue their criminal activities even after being apprehended. Know about the city’s famous lady criminals and their crime history… 1. Rajjo from Aishbagh – 19 cases registered Rajjo alias Raziya Khan tops the list of female offenders. She faces 19 cases registered across multiple police stations including Aishbagh, Shyamla Hills, Shahjahanabad, Hanumanganj, Jahangirabad, Gautam Nagar, Ashoka Garden, Nishatpura, Chhola, and Indore Sarrafa. 2. Yashika Patel assault case in Govindpur On 16 September, Yashika Patel from Govindpura allegedly called a young man to a cafe and assaulted him, claiming herself as a lady don. Prior to the assault, she reportedly threatened him over the phone, telling him to commit suicide or face violence. The victim, Harsh Shrivas (23), a video editor from Chhattisgarh living in Gautam Nagar, complained after the assault video went viral. Police registered a case against Yashika for assault, abusive language, and threats. Reports indicate she has previous assault cases as well. 3. Mehak Yadav involved in human trafficking Mehak Yadav, residing in a posh bungalow in Arera Colony, has been involved in illegal activities, including human trafficking. 4. Kajal and Reena Jogi target jewelry shops Sisters Kajal and Reena Jogi, residents of Jahangirabad, are notorious for stealing jewelry during shop visits. 5. Sudha Shrivas – Repeat cannabis smuggler 50-year-old Sudha Shrivas, a notorious cannabis trafficker from Housing Board Colony, has repeatedly resumed smuggling despite multiple police actions. 6. Tanu Shankat – Cannabis smuggling from Sehore In April, Crime Branch officers apprehended a woman from Subhash Nagar carrying 7.540 kg of cannabis worth ₹1.6 lakh. Female offenders most active in old city Additional DCP Crime Branch Shailendra Singh Chauhan stated that the Old City of Bhopal has the highest concentration of female offenders, involved in drug trafficking, robbery, and other serious crimes. Police stations including Aishbagh, Nishatpura, Talaiya, Tila Jamalpura, Hanumanganj, Chhola Mandir, Gautam Nagar, and Jahangirabad frequently report female criminals. Over the past four years, the Crime Branch alone has arrested more than 70 women, while over 200 female offenders have been arrested across city police stations for various crimes.
