CM Mohan performs deepdaan in Mandakini river, Chitrakoot:Says state will develop while preserving historical heritage; pays tribute to former MLA

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited Chitrakoot on Sunday and performed deepdan at Panchvati Ghat of Maa Mandakini in Arogya Dham. He also paid tribute to the former MLA. The CM met saints and intellectuals at Arogyam and said Chitrakoot will be developed while keeping its natural beauty and historical heritage intact. He announced that construction works worth Rs 2800 crore will be completed by April next year. Dr. Yadav added that there is no need for large buildings in Chitrakoot. The main focus will be on keeping the Mandakini river clean, ensuring easy darshan of Lord Kamtanath, and making food and prasad easily available for devotees. He spoke about making Chitrakoot, the penance land of Lord Rama, a center for religious and rural tourism. Dr. Yadav informed that for the development of Chitrakoot, people have voluntarily demolished their buildings and provided land at 163 locations. He instructed Collector Dr. Satish Kumar S. to obtain suggestions from saints, intellectuals, and the general public for the development of Chitrakoot and prepare an action plan accordingly. On this occasion, Minister of State for Urban Development and Housing Smt. Pratima Bagri, MP Ganesh Singh, BJP State President Hemant Khandelwal, and Chitrakoot MLA Surendra Singh Gaharwar, along with other dignitaries, were present. During his visit to Chitrakoot, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav performed Deepdaan at Panchvati Ghat of Maa Mandakini located at Arogya Dham on the occasion of the Diwali fair. During this, he extended Diwali greetings to the people of the state. While interacting with reporters, the Chief Minister said that Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country’s Sanatan culture is flourishing. He stated that the governments of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh are jointly undertaking many projects for the development of Chitrakoot’s spiritual, tourism, and devotee facilities, which will further enhance Chitrakoot’s splendor and glory in the coming time.

CM paid tribute to former Satna MLA Shankarlal Tiwari. Tribute paid to former MLA Late Shri Tiwari Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav arrived in Satna and paid his respects on the demise of former MLA late Shankar Lal Tiwari. The Chief Minister offered floral tributes to the portrait of late Shri Tiwari at the condolence meeting organized in Town Hall Satna and prayed for the peace of the departed soul. After this, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav visited the ancestral home of late Shri Tiwari and met his family members. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Late Shri Tiwari was a very diligent public representative who always strived for the welfare of the people. He always raised his voice for the poor. His demise has caused an irreparable loss. May God grant peace to his sacred soul.
