Gold and silver prices recorded sharp gains this week. As per the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), 24-carat gold rose by ₹4,571 (4%) over the week to ₹1,21,525 per 10 grams, compared to ₹1,16,954 on October 3. Silver saw an even steeper rise, jumping ₹18,890 (12.9%) during the same period — from ₹1,45,610 per kg on October 3 to ₹1,64,500 on October 10.
