With her quick answers, charm, and confidence, 11-year-old Janvi Purswani from Nariyal Kheda, Bhopal, won hearts on Kaun Banega Crorepati Junior. Despite coming from a poor family, she correctly answered 10 questions in just 90 seconds and won Rs 5 lakh. Her innocent humour and fearless attitude left even Amitabh Bachchan smiling throughout the show. Bright girl from a humble background Janvi’s father, Chetan Purswani, sells soap, toothpaste, and brushes on trains. He is disabled and can barely work now. Her mother, Meena Purswani, works in an incense stick factory, earning about Rs 200–250 per day.The family lives in a two-room rented house, but they have always supported Janvi’s education and dreams. Janvi’s witty comment that made Amitabh laugh During the show, Janvi’s quick wit made everyone laugh. When Amitabh Bachchan asked her a question, she said with a smile, “Sir, you look much better on TV. Now I’m sure you use filters in your videos.” Hearing this, Amitabh smiled and jokingly replied, “Devi ji, please forgive us.” Janvi later said, “I just spoke what came to my mind. I wasn’t scared. Her father, Chetan Purswani, shared, “My daughter has always been top in studies. I studied till Class 11, so I also asked her a few questions. She often studied at night with Anmol, her teacher’s son. Her dream is to become a doctor and make us proud.” Teachers praise Janvi’s dedication Janvi studies in Class 5 at Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Deendayal Colony.Her class teacher, Kiran Agrawal, described her as disciplined, polite, and confident.Kiran’s son, Anmol Agrawal, helped Janvi prepare through online coaching every night for about an hour and fifteen minutes. Anmol said, “We practised History and General Knowledge together. I told her that Fastest Finger First needs both speed and confidence. She listened very carefully and learned fast.” School Principal Dinesh Singh Rathore added that when the KBC team came for auditions, “they immediately realised that Janvi was special.” Bhopal teacher encourages Janvi About five years ago, Dr Usha Khare, a teacher from Bhopal, appeared on KBC’s Karmveer Special episode. She later met Janvi and her family and gave them a reward.Dr Khare said, “I’m happier seeing Janvi on the show than I was during my own episode. A child growing up with such limited means has achieved something truly remarkable. She has brought pride not just to Bhopal, but to the entire Madhya Pradesh.”
