In Ujjain, a young man who challenged the police on social media using abusive language committed suicide by hanging himself on Wednesday morning. Angered by this, his family members placed the body at Chimanganj Mandi intersection, chanted slogans, and blocked the road. The family has accused the Chimanganj police of assault. On Monday night, the police arrested Abhishek Chauhan and his friend Vicky Rathore. Abhishek Chauhan, residing in Viratnagar, had posted a video on Instagram about a week ago with his friend Vicky Rathore. In the video, Abhishek Chauhan was challenging the police. After the video went viral, the police took action against both and arrested them. After getting bail on Tuesday evening, the young man went home. After waking up on Wednesday morning, he went to his room and committed suicide by hanging himself. As soon as Abhishek’s family came to know about his suicide, they blocked the road outside Mandi Gate. Accusing the police of demanding money, they demanded action against the guilty policemen. Upon receiving information about the incident, Jiwajiganj and Madhavnagar CSPs reached the spot and, after explaining to the family, cleared the road blockade. Another video of both youths had surfaced. In which they were seen apologizing with folded hands in police custody. The youths admitted that they had done wrong and would not do such acts from now on. Chiman Ganj police station had registered a case against both youths. They were produced in court on Tuesday.
