Jabalpur and other parts of Madhya Pradesh received rain on Friday afternoon. The Meteorological Department has issued alerts for heavy or very heavy rainfall in 17 districts. Rewa, Mauganj, Sidhi, and Singrauli may receive up to 8 inches of rain in the next 24 hours. The heavy rainfall is expected to continue on October 4. Alerts for today The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for very heavy rain in Rewa, Mauganj, Sidhi, and Singrauli. A yellow alert for heavy rain is in place for Jabalpur, Satna, Panna, Maihar, Damoh, Katni, Umaria, Shahdol, Anuppur, Dindori, Mandla, Narsinghpur, and Chhindwara. The system is expected to weaken from Sunday, but light rain may continue in some places. Rain in other areas More than half an inch of rain fell in Narmadapuram. Half an inch of rain was recorded in Datia and Narsinghpur. Drizzling occurred in Bhopal, Indore, Naogaon (Chhatarpur), Sagar, and Tikamgarh. Monsoon departure delayed Monsoon has departed from 12 districts, including Gwalior, Sheopur, Morena, Bhind, Datia, Shivpuri, Guna, Agar-Malwa, Neemuch, Mandsaur, and Ratlam. It has also left parts of Rajgarh and Ashoknagar. The Meteorological Department says conditions are not yet fully favourable, but the monsoon is expected to leave the entire state by October 10. Highest and lowest rainfall Guna received the most rainfall this season, recording 65.6 inches. Mandla-Raisen received more than 62 inches, and Sheopur-Ashoknagar more than 56 inches. The districts with the least rainfall include Shajapur (28.9 inches), Khargone (29.6 inches), Khandwa (32 inches), Barwani (33.5 inches), and Dhar (33.6 inches).
