In Jhabua, a female teacher beat a student with stick. During this, the police and principal in-charge were also present. When police tried to stop her, she said – “Who are you to stop me.” Students’ parents reached the school to complain about the female teacher. In the staff room, the teacher took off her slippers and started saying to the students- You don’t study. I will take out the chemistry notebook and fail you… You are a stain on the name of students. The incident happened on Monday (September 29) at Pitol region’s Boys Higher Secondary School, but the videos have emerged now. Police were present for the event. During the programme, 11th-grade student Vijay Baberia went to his classroom to collect his bag. According to Vijay, Chemistry teacher Anamika Meda caught him, abused him and hit him with a stick. When a policeman intervened, she started arguing with him. School staff demand action against teacher The school staff reported the incident to the Assistant Commissioner in Jhabua. Students have demanded that the teacher be transferred, saying they cannot study Chemistry properly under her. Acting Principal Indira Gundia said a show-cause notice has been issued to the teacher. Students claim teacher’s behaviour not proper Students claimed that Anamika Meda has behaved in this manner for the past four years. She has been posted in Pitol region since 2021 and teaches Chemistry. Many students said they feel scared to attend her classes.
