Various initiatives were organised at several police stations in Bhopal on Tuesday under the city police’s ‘Main Hoon Abhimanyu’ campaign, senior police officials said. Among some such police stations were the Chunabhatti police station and the Khajuri Sadak police station, officials added. Chunabhatti police organises awareness programme at school Chunabhatti police station house officer (SHO) Dharmendra Maurya told Bhaskar English that a police team from his police station organised an awareness programme at the Naveen Higher Secondary School in the area, as part of the campaign. The session focused on issues concerning women’s safety, prevention of crimes against women, and domestic violence. During the interaction, teachers and students, both boys and girls, were counselled about equal rights for women, respect for women, and the importance of education for girls. The students were also encouraged to pursue higher education and career opportunities. Information regarding Dial 112 emergency helpline was shared to enhance awareness about quick response services. Sub-Inspector Mona Jadaun and Woman Head Constable Chameli Pawar from the Chunabhatti police station were also present on the occasion, alongside SHO Maurya. Marathon organised in Khajuri Sadak On the same day, the city’s Khajuri Sadak Police organised a marathon under the ‘Main Hoon Abhimanyu’ campaign. Around 60 young participants, along with police staff, took part in the run. The marathon began from the police station, passed through Dhamaniya, and concluded back at Khajuri Sadak Police Station premises. The event was graced by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Aditya Raj Singh and Khajuri Sadak police SHO Neeraj Verma.
