The bodies of a 23-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl missing from Bhilwara were found tied with a saree in the Shipra River, Ujjain. A day earlier, police had recovered an abandoned bike near the river. The next day, locals spotted the bodies and informed police. The youth was identified through an Aadhaar card found in his pocket. A 23-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl from Kachhola, Bhilwara, who had left home on September 23 due to family opposition to their love affair, were found dead in the Shipra River on Sunday in Ujjain’s Mahidpur area. Their families arrived on Monday to collect the bodies, which were cremated after post-mortem at Mahidpur cremation ground. Minor’s family filed case Kachhola Police Station SHO Balkishan Sharma said, On September 23, a young man ran away with a minor girl. Based on the report of the minor’s family, a case was registered on September 25 under kidnapping and POCSO Act. The investigation of the case was handed over to Kotri DSP. Bodies tied with saree found in Shipra river SHO Balkishan Sharma said, On Sunday afternoon around 12 o’clock, the bodies of the young man and the minor girl were found in the Shipra river. On the information of local people, Mahidpur Police Station police reached the spot and with the help of the rescue team, pulled out the bodies. The bodies were tied together with a saree, due to which suicide is suspected in the preliminary investigation. Identity confirmed after Aadhaar card found SHO Balkishan Sharma said an Aadhaar card in the youth’s pocket identified him as a Bhilwara resident. Mahidpur police found a kidnapping and POCSO case was registered against him at Kachhola police station. A police team took possession of the bodies, and after post-mortem, they were handed to families, who performed last rites in Mahidpur.
