Ranchi police arrested Suraj Kerketta, a resident of Khunti, from Dundigadha village, seizing 1.7 kg of opium. Kerketta was apprehended after police posed as buyers, arranging a meeting to purchase the drugs. He had previously cultivated poppy plants, which were destroyed by authorities, but he managed to salvage and process the remaining crops into opium.
