Unlikely visitor: Rat at rural Gadag pandal attracts Ganesha devotees

In a Gadag village, a real rat has become an unexpected attraction at a Ganesha pandal. Villagers believe the rat’s presence alongside the idol is auspicious, mirroring Hindu mythology where the rat is Lord Ganesha’s vehicle. The rat reportedly accompanied the statue from Kinnal village and has remained close, even returning after being moved.
