Jharkhand has surprisingly emerged as a leading state in terms of high-income taxpayers, surpassing Delhi and Maharashtra. Nearly 19.5% of Jharkhand’s income tax filers reported annual incomes between Rs 12 lakh and Rs 50 lakh, placing it third nationally behind Karnataka and Telangana.
